The Frankenjura is the most important climbing area in Germany. Today there are approx. 6000 free climbing routes. And there are two fixed rope route, the Höhenglücksteig and the Norissteig. These routes were built in 1937 and they are used as a training area for the alps. The Höhenglücksteig is divided into three parts.
- The first part ist the longest, there is a short and difficult place.
- The second part is 20m about the ground.
- The third part is many more difficult than the others.
